Home Renovation Technician Diploma Program

Thinking of tackling a new home renovation project? Needing to get the skills for basic plumbing or to run wiring? Wanting to revive that tired looking wooden furniture or door trim? The NATS Home Renovation Technician program can help! This series of courses for tackling home projects include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, wood finishing/refinishing, and spray booth painting experience.

What You Will Learn In The Classroom

This curriculum is designed to provide classroom and lab “hands-on” training in the residential construction and remodeling fields; with particular emphasis placed on the fields of basic plumbing, carpentry, interior and exterior finishes, basic cabinetmaking, stair construction and installation and roof construction. Course content covers correct building techniques used by tradespeople necessary to meet relevant building codes.

 

What You Will Learn In The Labs

Students in the Home Renovation Technician program will work with the following equipment: table saw, miter saw, drill press, band saw, planer, joiner, router, and a wide range of power and pneumatic tools.

 

What You Will Learn Outside of the Regular Classroom Setting

TPI-MAS helps students recognize the choices they have in life and how to control how they think to change the way they live their lives. Students will understand how the human mind works and how their beliefs and attitudes influence the present and shape the future. The program encourages students to have a positive outlook and strive for goals despite any challenges and obstacles.
