The Path to Becoming a
Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
Becoming a real estate salesperson in Ontario is a regulated process. That means you’ll need to complete recognized training, pass your exams, and register with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO). Here’s what the process looks like:
Step 1: Complete a Structured Pre-licensing Program

Getting Started

Each course must be completed in order, and exams must be passed before moving on to the next course or simulation.
Step 2: Pass Your Exams With Confidence
We build review sessions right into the program so you’re not left guessing. You’ll get targeted study support and feedback that helps you prepare for each exam with confidence.
Step 3: Register With RECO
You’ll apply for registration through RECO after completing your training and exams. This includes submitting your application, completing a Canadian Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC), and meeting all regulatory requirements.
Step 4: Launch Your Career and Continue Your Education
Once registered, you’re ready to begin your career as a licensed real estate salesperson in Ontario. To stay active in the industry, you’ll need to complete post-registration education. Our program sets you up with the knowledge and real-world skills you’ll need for long-term success.
